DESCRIPTION
OF SERVICES:
AmeriCare provides professional and
dependable private nursing, personal care, and related home
health services at a reasonable cost. Full-time and part-time
services are available on a 24 hour basis by the following
staff:
REGISTERED NURSE
(RN): is a licensed
professional who is qualified to provide a wide range of
sophisticated skills throughout the nursing process.
LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN): is licensed to
provide a wide range of nursing services, including
administration of prescription medications and monitoring of
vital signs.
HOME
HEALTH AIDE/CERTIFIED NURSE AIDE: assists in health care
procedures which do not require professional attention, as well as
activities of daily living. Assistance with bathing, grooming, ambulation
and personal hygiene are examples of such services.
PERSONAL CARE AIDE: assists in
providing nursing care by performing simple unskilled nursing
tasks as defined in the patient's nursing care plan and is
supervised by the Nursing Supervisor. Some of the tasks and
duties that the personal care aide is responsible for are
assisting with payment of bills and essential errands,
shopping for the patient if no other arrangement is possible,
and preparing and serving meals according to instructions.
HOMEMAKER/HOUSEKEEPER: provides
assistance with meal preparation, laundry, and light
housekeeping. MAY NOT provide "hands on care" to
patient or administer medications. Direct supervision is
provided by the Home Care Supervisor. Some of the tasks and
duties that the homemaker/housekeeper is responsible for are
cleaning, dusting, and vacuuming household furnishings,
changing linens and making beds, cleaning refrigerators and
stoves and running necessary errands with the full knowledge
and assistance of the Home Care Supervisor.
SPEECH/PHYSICAL THERAPY: In addition to the above services, we offer
Speech Therapy and Physical Therapy in our North Carolina locations.

PAYMENT
FOR SERVICES: AmeriCare will assist you in verifying insurance coverage
and in billing your insurance company for covered services, or you may choose
to pay privately.
LOCATION:
Our professional nursing and home healthcare staff is available at seven
locations to
assist you in determining the services you need.
